What We Do

Environmental Leadership Australia works to build bipartisan support for climate policy in two ways.

Firstly, we work with, and fund, partner organisations who are exercising leadership on climate within their communities. We support community groups across a wide range of areas including agriculture, the veterinary and animal care sector, parents and families, sport, security, health, small business and other professions with the ability to reach a wide range of Australians.

Secondly, we engage with both current elected officials and future political leaders. We organise a number of programs, education activities and climate information initiatives to deepen climate knowledge amongst current and future policy makers. We support future and current Members of Parliaments, at state and federal levels, to be bolder with their climate and environmental ambitions, implementing evidence-based policies.

This combined focus on supporting both community organisations and policy makers is designed to lay the foundations for bipartisan support for long-term emissions reduction and create economic opportunities across Australia.
